Welcome to "Inspirations"
Inspirations is a growing family of dedicated photo sites.
Inspirations strives to gather photo's that actually inspire. Various disciplines, each at it's own dedicated website. Allied to one another but each with its own characteristics. Each site nominated by photographers who have distinguished themselves in the specific field. The connecting factor is the high quality of the photos. In this context "inspiring" not is not meant as a sole feature or attribute but as a requirement.
Inspirations also arose from the need for established photographers to provide a platform where they can show their work. A showcase where high quality is assured and a place where one is among "conspecifics".
The first approve to achieve this was formed by Nature-Inspirations which started in 2009 with the aim:
"To collect high quality (especially creative) nature photography on a website by publishing pictures and commenting them. We want nature photography and the beauty of nature to be shown in the simplest possible way. We particularly focus on the creative nature photography on this site."
In 2010 Nature-Inspirations partnered with the founders of the photo review forum D-DIG.NL. The idea was to create a quality-driven collective of websites. Currently, this collective has the following components:
D-DIG.NL, which is related to this collection offers upcoming photographers an opportunity to grow in their own pace in the wonderfull creative profession known as "Photography".
